Is There Such A Thing As A Stop Smoking Shot To Make Kicking The Habit Easy?
I’ve been smoking for 25 years and now that I’m trying to stop, I can’t. I’ve tried everything from nicotine patches and gums, herbal remedies, and even a so-called anti-smoking pill called Zyban that turned out to be nothing more than an anti-depressant. Are there other methods like maybe a stop smoking shot that I can consider? Is a stop smoking shot a safe and effective way to address my smoking problem?
You’re in luck. There is indeed such a thing as a stop smoking shot. However, there have been mixed reviews about it, and though it works for some, it doesn’t work for others. The best way to find out is to consult with a health professional and find out if it is the perfect treatment for you.
The stop smoking shot is most commonly known as the Smart Shot. It was developed a many years ago and has since been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). For the past few years, it has been used to cute unrelated health problems. Suffice to say, the fact that it has smoking cessation functions was discovered accidentally when users of the stop smoking shot observed that they completely lost their desire to smoke.
This stop smoking shot is made from two very common drugs – Scopolamine and Atarax. Scopolamine is used to address seasickness while Atarax is an anti-histamine. These two drugs are combined in a unique formula that has been found to block the nicotine receptors in the brain. Subsequently, withdrawal symptoms will be reduced as an effect of this stop smoking shot, leading to a healthier lifestyle for some. The stop smoking shot has been observed to be most effective when used alongside counseling and within a support group.
It doesn’t stop there, however. Due to the huge gap in the market for smoking cessation drugs, several pharmaceutical companies have been researching and developing a score of new stop smoking treatment, ranging from pills to stop smoking shots. A stop smoking shot that works by binding with nicotine and disabling nicotine molecules in the body is being developed by Nabi Pharmaceuticals and will be marketed under the name NicVax, pending FDA approval. Another stop smoking shot of the same nature dubbed Ta-Nic is also under development by the Xenova Group in England.
Several stop smoking pills are also under development by major pharmaceutical companies and may be considered as less invasive as stop smoking shots. Pfizer have designed a drug called Varenicline, to be marketed as Chantrix, and are expecting FDA approval within the year. French pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Synthelabo also developed a drug that not only aids in smoking cessation, but also helps in weight loss. The drug is called Rimonabant, trade name Acomplia, and is also expecting FDA approval within the year.
However helpful and effective stop smoking shots and pills may be, successfully kicking the habit will still always come from within. It takes determination, tenacity, sacrifice, and a lot of will power to overcome the habit. Without these, even the strongest stop smoking shot will be worthless.
